On Administration & Policies: The disciplinary policies that are in effect are virtually worthless. One teacher will try to enforce the rules set by the school and the district, while another will blatantly disregard them. Administrators widely vary which rules they enforce, and to what extent. Certain students are also exempt from the rules, while others are essentially persecuted. Lunch detentions are a joke, and rarely enforced. The ISS program has turned around, so that it is no longer a reward for bad behavior.

On Extracurriculars: Much like athletics, it's the same people who participate in group that participate in all the other groups. The main groups are Student Council, NHS, and the Theatre club. Most of the clubs on campus get little to no funding from the school, and the administration rarely backs sponsors on anything. Commitment varies from club to club. The kids in the Theatre are very dedicated to what they do, but NHS and StuCo have widely varying levels of interest. Some are there only to have something to put on their resume, while some (very few) are in it because they actually want to.

On Health & Safety: Because Caprock is built like a small community college, it's not particularly hard to evade visitor sign ins. It also, theoretically, wouldn't be hard for a safety threat to strike. The buildings are all seperate, and none of the doors lock between classes. There is some bullying on campus, but it's mostly covert and those who do bully are usually ostracized by the rest of school.

On Educational Outcomes: Caprock is more focused on standardized testing, not on making sure kids can actually function in the real world. Caprock relies on a lot of state funding, and it's clear with the way the teachers approach learning. Caprock's future depends on the fate of standardized testing, and so far, it's not going very well. Teachers will openly admit that what they teach has no real value outside of state testing, but they continue to teach to this method anyway.

On Sports & Fitness: Sports don't have much importance at Caprock, mainly because the teams never get very far. The students who play football are also the ones who play basketball, and pretty much every other sport on campus. These are also the few kids who do have school spirit.
