Cave Spring High School Reviews
Rating 3.82 out of 5 248 reviews
Cave Spring is not a bad school. I have opened up here and found a group of friends I click with. I've had some good teachers, and bad, as is typical of a student's life, but that does not come without complaints. My main complaint is probably the upkeep of the school itself. We had at least two, if not three bursts of septic tank pipes in the four years I've attended the school. Septic fluid bubbling and spilling out of the sinks and onto the floor in my adulting class- ew. Despite the renovations of the school, its still bad. The students don't care for the school either, often being the cause of issues, such as sinks and paper towel dispensers being broken, as well as a wad of toilet paper somehow stuck to the upper corner of a wall. The admin: I know they're trying their best, but I have a frequent sense of instability in this school that comes from feeling like no one here really knows how to run this place. It's been a decent four years, but I'm glad I'm graduating.
I felt like the curriculum, especially the advanced and AP courses were properly staffed and had ample teaching promise. But during most of my High school years the administration limited that promise and students, like myself, were constantly let down by both the administration in school and the county board.
Cave Spring has a very nice building as it was recently renovated. The parking and traffic pattern could have been improved more with the renovation. The teachers care very much about their students and for the most part, the student body has less fights or bullying than other schools in the area.
