On Educational Outcomes: I don't feel super prepared for college or the application process. There wasn't any informative session on best ways to approach college applications and essays. This made me delay my application and search for help from current college students.

On Sports & Fitness: I'm not super athletic. I've participated in sports for college resumes and to maintain health. Overall, I'm average. This makes me hesitant about trying out for sport. The coaches, however, always are supportive of all athletes which makes participating and trying out for sports easy.

On Academics: The most popular classes are definitely AP classes. AP classes allow student to gain points with colleges by entering these rigorous courses. Clearwater High has an average number of AP classes. The AP teachers try to incorporate college style and high school style teacher. This allows a better transition to college. Passing an AP test is just the icing on the cake!

On Extracurriculars: This school has what I call the "Multiple Student Board Syndrome." Clubs will elect the same people to become board members of many different clubs. This brings down the quality of the club. Not many people can give equal attention to all the clubs they help manage fairly. This is abuse to the members and the club. I hope this issue gets fixed in the next couple years because ALL student deserve to voice their opinion and have the opportunity to lead and support a club; however, a few choice students ruin it for students that could become exceptional leaders.

On Administration & Policies: This school isn't very supportive of sports. It is hard to get funding and understanding from teachers when it comes to sports; however, the coaches are mostly fantastic. They try there hardest with the schools limited funding and try to help the kids out in as many ways possible. One of the football coaches requires the football players to studying sessions after school so that football doesn't infringe on the players game. The teachers are hard to review. Some are really excellent and some aren't very committed to their students or what they are teachers. The campus is over a hundred years old, this explains why the school is going under such heavy maintenance. Thus, the school isn't much to look at. The school just introduced many academies, which allows the student to receive certifications in their chosen areas of study. Unfortunately, the academies aren't weighed fairly. One program will get more funding or attention by the principal. This is sad considering a school should give all student equal opportunity to achieve in their chosen areas of study. The dress code isn't too bad. The school even tries to help student who are less fortunate by giving them donated clothes. It's strict but eliminates unprofessional dressing etiquette. This does prepare student about how they should in the real world when going in for a interview or work.
