On Teachers: Many of the teachers who are teaching there have no right to be teaching any longer because they have taught for so many years and their knowledge and style of teaching is outdated.

On Educational Outcomes: Many of the students in my class ended up either dropping out and not going to college or are planning on only getting their associates degree.

On Health & Safety: When we had a nurse she was only there until noon, even though most kids get sick after that time, I experienced that on more than one occasion in my four years of high school. There is no real policy about bullying. On one occasion I saw someone stand up for themselves verbally and the next day they received an in school suspension, even though they weren't the aggressor, the aggressor did not get punished. A student in my class did not get to walk at graduation because he was attacked and tried to defend himself by pushing the other guy away.

On Food: It's cafeteria food. I brought my lunch everyday because the variety of foods in the cafeteria was limited to one of two main dishes, a salad if you wanted and another smaller side and a desert. The food wasn't always cooked fully, and was col a lot of the time.

On Student Culture & Diversity: Peer pressure and social challenges are as prevalent here as they are in other small schools. The students and faculty are very open minded and because of the mixed community, white families, a few African American families, and Mexican families.
