On Extracurriculars: If a student wants to be involved, this is just the place to be! From football to the National Honors Society, Coral Gables has it all. Everybody is involved, even the faculty! You really are almost looked down upon if you are not involved in at least some small club. It is a very fun school and everybody is rowdy about their club or sport. If naturally you aren't all that spirit, the staff will most likely change that.

On Teachers: The faculty is extremely diverse. Some teachers are great, others not so great. This is probably true for any large high school. Any teacher that one remembers as being a positive influence will probably remain in that students head for a lifetime simply because of how genuinely nice and caring some of the faculty can be. But, as mentioned previously, some will most likely not even be remembered by a student's college graduation.

On Sports & Fitness: This school has to be one of the best for students who want to be involved! From football to NHS, this school has it all. It has a long history of accomplishment and there is a sense of pride for those players who put on the uniform. Unfortunately, the students are not very school spirited simply because it's pasts triumphs are never really celebrated or remembered. But for those who are, they can be assured a very healthy and welcoming ambience for those who go the mile and participate in extra-curricular activities!

On Health & Safety: Coral Gables Senior High School is your average "home-school". Located in the beautiful city of Coral Gables, it must meet some obvious safety requirements due to its luxurious surroundings. It is a very calm school and there is no need to be afraid. Security guards are constantly present in most areas of the school and actually intervene when required to. Health in the school is something that needs to be addressed, in order to receive bandages one must actually have his/her blood taken and the nurse is many times not present. In a school of it's size (3,000+) students, this should not be occurring. Hallways and buildings are marked clear and effectively and in the case of an emergency, evacuating one would not be a problem. Overall, the school is quite the positive place and there is an always a good atmosphere. It is not a school where one would not want to send their kids to.

On Administration & Policies: The administration isn't consistent with uniform policy. Attendance is also a big mess.
