On Extracurriculars: Crown Point Offers a wide range of clubs from foreign language clubs such as German Club or Japanese club too clubs for those just seeking to have fun such as Xbox club. Clubs helps students learn time management skills in order to be on top of their academic life as well as thier social and extracurricular life. The club's that require the most commitment are generally the club's which compete with other schools or clubs that perform a show in order to showcase their skills. Clubs like RoboDogs/VexRobotics gear students towards the life of engineering by allowing students to work hands on in building robots to complete every day tasks as well as complete a designed obstacle course. The students involved in Robodogs are highly committed to it because of its competitive nature as well as its' group bonding ability between students who all share similar interests. On the complete other side of the spectrum clubs like XBOX club are formed for students who enjoy having fun with no worries and thus students have little commitment to the group. Clubs like National Honors Society hosts fund raising events in order to raise money for local charities. Events like the color run areheld every fall. These small events are held by nearly every club, greatening the availability of students at crown Point to get involved and stay active. The administration force feeds clubs to the students like vitamins in order to make the students better prepared for their futures. The repetition of advocateing clubs might be a little over done but personally I would much rather prefer having signs to join clubs in my face than having to struggle to find out information on them. Crown Point has a firm grasp around the importance of clubs on a students life and it is far exceeding a regular school corporations expectations.

On Overall Experience: Crown Point High School is a school containing over 2,000 students all with different interests, hopes and dreams, and levels of drive to complete there goals. At Crown Point students got the opportunity to join any club they wanted to freely and were motivated by the administration to be active in Crown Point's community. I personally was apart of as many clubs and athletic groups as I could at Crown Point High school in order to take advantage of all the opportunitys given to me. I participated in Choir, Theatre, Thespian Society, DARE (Drug Alcohol Resistance Education), CASS (Creating A Safer School), varsity Football, Varsity Wrestling, Track and field, German Club, Latin club, Rotary, an all boys Acapella group called QYP, as well as National Honors Society. Club's help form students as individuals and assist in finding what they want to be in the future as well as get them that one step closer to achieveing their dreams which might be strictly extracurricular: NFL Football Player, Broadway Star, professional painter ext;. Not all students are 4.0 phenoms who fit the mold of a perfect student by the school corporation but every student feels in control of thier future and can easily get accessible help if needed by guidance teachers, teachers staying after hours for the students who need a little extra one on one assistance, and the abundant amount of honors students who will freely tutor their peers in exchange for a few community service hours. All in all Crown Point has a lot to offer to its' students in order to succeed in the real world outside the relm of Indiana public schooling.
