High quality instruction at the high school, high expectations. Some decent diversity of students. Over-focus on athletics and limited acknowledgement of other types of students.
I have had a great experience going to AHS for my high school years. I’ve lived in Andover all my life and have experienced no issues with students, faculty, or lack of support from the Andover Public Schools. Overall I have had a super positive experience at this high school.
I do not remember having any major complaints about elementary and middle school that the school could control (Although, in elementary school, there was some elitism amongst a certain clique). In high school, most of my teachers were fair and objective except for a select few. Sometimes, the air regulating system wouldn’t work and the school would overheat, making it difficult to concentrate (but I believe they are now addressing this issue!).Overall, I give Andover Public Schools a four stars.
