I believe the best part about the Hawaii Department of Education is their dedication to protecting the students in Hawai'i. Another very good thing is the connection to the students. I believe that this department is very in touch with what the students need or want. Although, the worst part is the lack of resources. It is difficult to go on to bigger things coming from Hawai'i. I believe there is lack of support and resources to help kids in the future.
I love how diverse it is here but the need more school fundings. The schools are becoming older and not improving.
I like that with the Hawaii department of education they offer an array of classes that are relevant to the area. Some classes I have enjoyed throughly are Modern History of Hawaii and Marine Science. Some things I would like to see change in this school district is the lack of effort from educators. In addition, the lunches provided by the school are very poor and the portions are very small.
