I have been able to learn and thrive in the Whitehall School District. The teachers and everyone above the teachers all REALLY care about the students. Even the janitors get in the action and go above and beyond their duties and do whatever it takes to help a student succeed. The local Police officers also get involved with the schools more than any other schools I have heard about. I know I would not be the student and person I am today without all staff in the Whitehall School District.
As a parent of 2 current students and a current employee, I absolutely love working in the WCS district. I started working here 3 years ago as a preschool aide and I am now a special needs educational aide for the district. I love working with different children and teachers. I am also enrolled in Eastern Gateway Community College in their Prekindergarten Care and Education program to obtain my Associates degree. I was able to take this opportunity thanks to our school union. I love how our district works together for the betterment of our students. Our district is small but mighty when it comes to education and wanting what's best for the children.
I graduated from whitehall city schools in 2015. I was 18th in my class and am happy to be back working for them.
While at whitehall i was the treasure for NHS. I played volleyball, softball, and was a wrestling stat. I was varisty in all but volleyball and that was only because i was out on injury. I played in the band. Many people put whitehall down and talk about how bad we are but, whitehall isnt all bad. I believe that if the kids would work harder they would have better grades.
