On Teachers: I love the teachers at my school! Most of them are super kind and I can tell that they care about my knowledge and understanding of the material. I have struggled with some teaching styles in the past, but I have always taken initiative and gone to my tutor for help. I always know where to go to find information and upcoming due dates, which is really helpful.

On Student Culture & Diversity: The social scene at my school is very different from what I pictured, going into high school. Most students party every weekend, drink, do drugs and I am not into that so I try and find other things to do with my friends. There's not a lot to do in Arizona so most nights we just study, go to a sports game or go to dinner. Overall, there isn't a lot of peer pressure and everyone seems to be friends with each other.

On Academics: The academics at my school are interesting and are taught well. I always felt like I knew what I was doing, and if I didn't I went to tutoring every night of Junior year for PreCalc. Some popular classes are Criminal Justice, Economics, Statistics, Ceramics, Advanced Composition, etc.

On Overall Experience: I wouldn't do high school over again because I am excited about senior year and graduation and going to college. I did enjoy high school though. I loved being involved in student council and being able to go to sporting events and dances with all of my friends. President Obama even visited our school to give a speech to our community about Housing Crisis in 2013. Overall, my high school experience was memorable, enjoyable and I learned a lot about myself and the subjects I studied.

On Resources & Facilities: I have not utilized this aspect of our school in depth, but I do visit the counseling office often. There are many tools to help students succeed such as: assigned counselors, opportunity to schedule meetings, college visits, brochures and we often meet with our counselors for college prep sessions.
