On Resources & Facilities: Parent involvement at Douglas County High School is a large part of what makes it such a great school to attend. Parent involvement when it comes to homecomings, proms, sports, and other extra curricular activities makes the experience so much better and it's nice to know that we always have to support of our parents and that they're always willing to help us out.

On Teachers: The teachers at Douglas County High School are helpful for the most part. I enjoy most of their lessons and they are engaging and interactive most of the time. The only thing I would say needs more works is the availability of teachers especially in the mornings when most students are looking to find extra help.

On Sports & Fitness: Our School is excellent at supplying the students with many sports options. From a student's perspective many of my peers participate in sports, and plenty of my peers participate in multiple of the their favorite sports. Our school spirit is something I have never encountered myself before, just because it is simply so amazing. Most of the sports get great support from the dedicated students.

On Food: The food served at Douglas County High School offers a good variety to please most of the student body. The lunch ladies are very nice and helpful if you have questions about anything. Overall, they do offer healthy selections such as salads, fruits, vegetables, and subway. The only thing I would complain about is the amount of time upperclassmen have to go off campus for lunch, which is 30 minutes. When I was a freshman we had 50 minutes for lunch, making only a half an hour difficult to get used to.

On Health & Safety: I feel very safe at Douglas County High School because of our Security Guards, and police officers. I admire their hard work and determination to keep our school a safe environment. They work extra hard because our school is the only school in the district that has two building to look after. Overall, I can see that the safety of the students at Douglas County High School is never jeopardized and is taken very seriously.
