Fountain Valley High School Reviews

Despite my brief time at high school, I've been able to have a diverse experience. Joining the dance team, cross country and track brought a sense joy, confidence and accomplishment, while emphasizing the significance of teamwork. Freshman year, however introduced friendship challenges, teaching the importance of surrounding oneself with positive influences. School lunch which seemed amazingly delicious the first week of high school quickly deteriorated and resorted to half sized portions that can hardly be considered "nutritious". Unequal funding favoring football over other sports, requires an adjustment which would help decrease the cost of participation in other sports. After experience both the good and bad of high school, I'm optimistic about the opportunities and lessons that the remaining years hold, armed with valuable insights for the journey ahead.
I’ve been here for the last 3 years and within these last 3 years I’ve most definitely learned how to have better time management and develop a good work ethic. I’ve learned how to better connect with people and become more social which has also helped me with my dance life, I’ve been able to put my name out in the dance world more by being more social. I’ve learned what career path I want with the help of our science administration here, which is great might I add. I found a love for biology and the study of life within itself, including psychology and physiology. I’ve gained a passion for medicine and the need to help people with my career. I’ve built a knowledge for math which I deeply struggled with in middle school and began to understand it more during my sophomore year of high school. Overall, coming here has helped me gain more of a conscious of what I’d like to become.
Fountain Valley High School is one of the best schools that have programs that students can join and have fun in. Their classes are also easy to take but still a bit challenging in some areas. Even though this has been my first year, I am enjoying but at the same time challenging myself to exciting areas in my studies. The extracurriculars here are also well-funded and fun to take; the club I have the most fun with is called Girls Who Code. Although there are many pros to Fountain Valley High School, I believe that most of the cons are from the people residing in FV. The administers are sometimes not very kind to students, and some of my friends have had negative experiences with them; I remember one of my members from Girls Who Code came back crying after one of the admins demanded the keys to her car to take back even though the member had just asked to leave school (she didn't have any classes after). Even though there are some cons to FV, I think overall this is a great school.
