Attending the middle school here was brutal to say the least. The teachers here were my biggest issue. They care little for their students’ mental health and well being. Yes, the education here is certainly above average but the stress and anxiety that students face is not worth it. The classroom environment is hostile and high stakes. Many students struggle to keep good grades due to the stress in the classroom. Theres no such thing as having time for extracurricular- After spending the entire school day doing copious amounts of work, students go home and spend HOURS doing even more homework. Time for friends, family, and activities does not exist for children ages 11-13 in this school. Instead, school work becomes their life and theirs is absolutely no room for being kids.
We absolutely love Littleton Academy for so many reasons! The children there are SO kind and the ones who struggle with kindness are brought back to kindness by the rules and gentle discipline. They expect good behavior, great listening, and kindness and in result, they end up with incredible kids who are driven, intelligent, and have a great work ethic. Our daughter absolutely LOVES this school and her friends and teachers there. We could not be more grateful for this school and the people working there… they are truly incredible!
We love the school, my kids came from a private school where they spoon fed the kids. But in LA the teachers helped the students to grow academically and to be more accountable, especially in middle school. LA is one of the best schools.
