Teachers: Boring teachers for the most part, often with questionable knowledge in their fields. Boring lectures with overuse of powerpoint. There were some notable exceptions like a World History teacher and an Art/Photography teacher who were very engaging and took an interest in students.

Health & Safety: Bullying wasn't as bad as it coulda been. We had a security guard and a nurse. There were fights weekly. Pretty typical high school, never was really scared for my self.

Food: The cafeteria smelled bad daily. We had the same things over and over and the quality very poor; all preservative-covered junk. Even the few healthy options were bad and stale. No special accommodations for veg/vegan students.

Student Culture & Diversity: Decent level of involvement. Most diverse school in the state, and generally racially/sexually accepting; though there is a conservative crowd that sometimes cause disturbances. But by and large ok.

Administration & Policies: Crude and authoritarian, although it was beginning to improve slightly in my senior year with a new principal. But the one before him was openly abrasive towards most students, while dotting on her "favorites", who was any athlete or student who brought attention to the school. The dress code was dated and viciously sexist. Suspension was the preferred mode of punishment, pushing out the people who needed help most, likely causing many to drop out. Ironically this was a punishment often used to punish skipping (way to give the kids what they want!). A very irrational, uncaring, and lazy administrative leadersip. The office staff and guidance counselors however, were generally genial, knowledgeable, and helpful.
