Why can't sixth graders choose their own electives?! There is no reason for this stupid rule to exist. I also got marked tardy for literally no reason in Science. The i-Ready requirements are stupid too. How about making the math and reading due simultaneously? It's super unfair for PE Homeroom/Advisory kids who get to use their phones there. The lockers here are way too tiny.
Enough slander about this school; let's get to the less critical part. The counselors and (most) teachers here are AMAZING. I'm so glad we ditched the "We can't talk about Halloween, it will offend the people who don't celebrate it!" We have so many fun activities here. The teachers are strict on what they need to be, but let teenagers be teenagers (no strict dress code, not afraid to discuss heavy topics, many clubs, etc.)
Anyway, thank you for reading my review (by the way it's Northshore MIDDLE SCHOOL now, not Junior High)

I just started at NMS, and i already love it. Even though we are doing online learning for covid, the teachers are so nice, and welcoming. They make sure that everyones here before we start! The students there are also very good, and focused.
My experience with Northshore was great! Friendly staff and teachers will willingly help you with just about everything.
