Pittsburg Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.62 out of 5 569 reviews
When I was enrolled into the school, my freshman year was a breeze. It being virtual could contribute to that, but even then there were signs that some teachers were not invested in their students. However, there are plenty that treated me like gold and were heavily invested into my academic career, even now as I'm bordering upon graduation. The school has an issue with drugs, but not hard ones. Mostly just a vaping and marijuana problem. The campus can become really chaotic considering how many students are enrolled at once, making traffic going home and coming to school a nightmare. There are accommodating CRAs, very few aren't. School spirit shifts between high and low, it just depends on the event. However, the clubs are very active and provide many community service opportunities to those who may need them.
Pittsburg Senior High School excels in campus diversity, clubs and activities, and resources. However, the administrators need to do better to help with the safety of the children.
I tread life carefully and diligently. I prioritize my future and take advantage of opportunities handed to me. Unfortunately, it’s not the same for others attending. I notice a lot of students doing work to get work done, and not much to develop their future. There are frequent fights on campus, but there is proper action taken towards them. From my experience, my prior and current teachers are very supportive in establishing future academic and career goals, which should be the minimum for their profession. What stood out to me the most is that they’re as human as humans can get. They sympathize and empathize, making the learning experience much less strenuous.
