Overall, my experience was great as I am in sports and many clubs. The teachers are amazing, and are willing to help any student who asks of them. The same goes with the counselors. They truly want the kids to succeed and anyone who asks for help is given help as long as they show initiative to better their learning. The coaches love their kids and create a great environment for team sports. The students and staff are committed to bettering the culture of the school, even creating a club of leaders to help create change. The coursework is made for the success of any student as long as they try in their classes. The food isn’t the best, but it’s not bad at all either. Everyone is included in everything, and no one is left out. There are countless extra curricular activities, from sports to band, and from ceramics to drama. There is a club for everyone as well, whether you like climbing, math, trivia, honors, the environment, or just hanging out gaming with your friends.
As a Junior in high school, I've spent plenty of time at this school. Overall, it is well rounded and there is always something to become involved in and stay connected. When involved, your experience can be great. However, behavior is a big issue at Heritage, and a lot of teachers have left for other jobs because of reasons like this. I've had both good and bad teachers, and they can make or break your education experience. I have noticed that some teachers aren't always there for the kids as much as they are for the paycheck. That being said, I enjoy being a student at Heritage because of the many opportunities.
Overall, Heritage has been a great school to attend. The diversity at Heritage is unmatched. We have foreign exchange students, Hispanic students, black students, lgbtq+ students, Christian students, disabled students, etc. At Heritage, a lot of people express themselves openly, which is a good thing because that means they are comfortable enough to. Administration this year is amazing. Honestly, it’s the best admin we’ve had since my sisters freshmen year (2015). Every single admin makes it a point to come out of the office and talk to students/teachers. The only bad thing about admin is that I have had 3 principals in the 4 years I’ve been here. That’s a bit ridiculous. The food is just simply not good, but I don’t think any school food is good (opinion). Heritage is safer this year than it has been in the past. Overall, I wouldn’t choose another school to go to. We have various classes, amazing resources/teachers/admin, diversity, culture, etc. Heritage is home.
