Although we're winding down toward the end of the school year, there are still several things our students have to look forward to. Baseball, Softball and Volleyball are in full swing. Our music groups are heading to California for a tour. Several students will be going on a backpacking trip. Spring Banquet is coming up, and of course, Graduation and Summer Break are just around the corner!

Spring Break Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic

Several of our students and staff recently returned from a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. They helped with construction and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas, as well as meeting some wonderful people. It was a much warmer experience than last year's Alaska mission! We're glad our students get the chance to experience other cultures and participate in service projects each year.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy is so cool! The teachers are super nice and always ready to help. The classes aren't too crowded, so it's easier to learn. We not only study hard stuff but also learn about being kind and helping others, which is important. The school has awesome facilities like labs for experiments and sports fields for games. Overall, it's a fantastic place where we can learn, have fun, and become better people. I'm glad to be part of this community!

Review Thunderbird Adventist Academy

As an employee of TAA, it’s great to have a student body that’s small enough that I know almost all the students by name, yet big enough for there to have good sports, music groups and fun events. Compared to other schools I have experienced and interacted with, I notice that our students are often better mannered, kinder and more inclusive of others, even those who might be a bit different. Of course, it’s not perfect and there are always things to improve, but overall it’s a good place to work and the students are great.

TAA says that they are an Adventist Christian community but my experience was quite different. The students make racial slurs and comments to each other and very inappropriate comments. Inappropriate language is also used from the students including using the Lord and our savior’s name in vain. The community of the school isn’t Christian and I don’t see or feel God’s love here at this school. As someone who wants to grow more in my faith, TAA hasn’t given me that experience. Teachers don’t seem to hold the students accountable for their poor actions and there is no discipline. This behavior has driven me away from the Adventist church as someone who is new to it. I want to experience a community close to God but again, did not find it here.
