Overall Experience: Out of the three schools available in Abilene, I have never regretted choosing Abilene High School. I got a glimpse of all the schools during the summer of my eight grade year as I attended all the available volleyball camps. No school made me feel more welcomed and important than that of the coaching staff and faculty present for the three days I attended the camp. However, my transfer had not been processed in due time and so I was forced to attend a different school for the beginning days of tryouts. When my transfer was finally approved I arrived at the gym the next morning, nervous as I had moved from a small town to a soon to be 6-A school. Fears were settled as my team and coach automatically took me in and introduced me to being an Abilene High Eagle. The years only progressed as teachers motivated me to achieve my goals and in the process opened my eyes to a broader scope than that with which I was familiar. As I found myself struggling in my pre-ap, AP, and dual credit classes my teachers were always willing to struggle alongside me during their off-periods or even through their lunch. The volleyball team has become my family, my teachers became my most trusted friends, and I forever will be a proud Abilene High Eagle.

Overall Experience: The teachers here really show that they care for you and your grades. They really help you achieve your goals if your willing and the entire campus just has a very home type feeling. If I could do it all over again I would still choose Abilene High. We are a very spirited, open campus and very welcoming. We enjoy helping out our school community as well as our local community. Abilene High is like one big family and if one of our students/staff members goes through a hard time we are there supporting them every step of the way. For example, a student in our community was diagnosed with cancer in the middle of the year and we did just about all we could think of to raise money, as a whole, for his medical expenses.
