The teachers belonging to Richmond County are some of the most underappreciated, overworked people I have ever encountered.

I myself am a student, who on a daily basis, watches my fellow classmates disrespect the very people taking time out of their day to give us an education, and continue to let ignorance fill their lives instead of knowledge.

On a daily basis , grown men and women come to work to be taunted by students less than half their age.

The district is on a very low budget : our text books are far from up to date, the desks are stained, the walls have holes, there are roaches and rats crawling around our classrooms , and this make the student body reluctant to learn in thee conditions. We ,as a whole, lash out at those who are trying their best to take care of us.

Despite their own attempts, the district cannot fully take care of our teachers. There have been numbers of times when faculty members have been "let go" for paying their lockers late, there have been instances where there has been months with no pay... they do all that they can.

The teachers here are very helpful and engaging! Some teachers here break it down into full detail where learning a new subject can be fun and interesting. They spend a little time with each student, and get to know us very well.

Like I stated before the teachers are great, but aside from everything else the school is disgusting. The bathrooms were never really clean, the water for the sinks were always freezing, and there were never any paper towels to dry your hands. The classrooms were crowded and still had wooden desks, unless it was a classroom in the IB (International Baccalaureate) wing, which leads another point. Unless you were an IB student, you had crappy things, such as the bathrooms and wooden desks, and for me receiving low quality tools, at times I wasn't motivated to go to school. Lastly, lunch is one of the most important parts of the school day, because lunch can boost your energy level, if it's healthy. The lunch at this school was practically nonexistent, it was the almost the same thing everyday, which was a slice of pizza, and on a good day may be some tater tots too.
