Alamosa High School Reviews
Rating 3.07 out of 5 112 reviews
Alamosa is a very tight knit town so everyone knows everyone which is a good and sometimes bad thing. I think our administration does the best they can with the resources they have to give every student a fair opportunity to succeed. I enjoy the school functions like school games and dances. We also got a tutoring center so struggling students can receive extra help from peers that have gone through the same classes. This has improved many people's education.
I would rate my overall experience throughout high school as pretty average. I will say though, I was able to receive a good education by pushing myself to take college classes through our dual enrollment program. Also being located in a small town has allowed for me to make some pretty good connections. Other than that, I would say my overall high school experience was pretty normal. I do with though, that my high school would do more with preparing for college.
There are multiple opportunities for students to excel in AP or concurrent enrollment classes. I love the clubs on campus and variety of sports.
