Overall Experience: Throughout my four years at this high school I have experienced many things that make me proud to attend here. The school spirit makes everything seem so lively throughout every game day. I have also been lucky enough to apart of the DECA internship program which has allowed me to be apart of many activities such as the prom fashion show, Mr. Anoka, speaking with an mentor from RBC and much more.

One thing I specifically remember is when the varsity soccer teams made it to state and how wild the crowd was even though it was help all the way in St. Cloud. I have never been so proud to playing on a field until that day, having a whole stadium cheering for their school to win was amazing.

Food: I'm not one who eats much of the school food just because I am a very picky eater although when I used to eat in the cafeteria there was always a wide variety of food. You have around 4 different lines that consist of the main course, pizza, sandwiches and salads. We also have a snack line and school store where you are able to get healthy snack options and different sorts of drinks.

Administration & Policies: In the past Anoka has had many problems when it came to bullying. The rules have become much more strict in order to lessen the amount of suicides that happen. Our faculty takes bullying very seriously and if they see anything that may be insulting the student will be removed and talked to about what the consequences that will take place.

Sports & Fitness: Our school is full of school spirit! Most people attend games of all sorts and we are pretty creative when it comes to doing something to leave our mark. At one of the football games in the fall we all brought baby powder and streamers and wore white and then at one of stoppages we all threw the baby powder in the air and started chanting for our team! It even made it into a local newspaper from an alumni!

For fitness opportunities our school has a lot to offer within the school day as well as after. You can take endless amounts of gym classes that all contain different material such as team sports, aerobics, individual sports, power volleyball and much more. After school and in the summer you have the opportunity to use the weight room and you can also join what is called tornado force. Its a program that allows athletes to work with someone who knows what strengths each sport needs to work on. Therefore you are not just mindlessly working out but working towards benefitting your game.

Teachers: Like every school, there are some teachers who are extremely good at the job and all the kids want to take their classes and some that just aren't all that grade and stuck in the past.

This year I have been lucky enough to have some really wonderful teachers, most of them use all the new technology such as examlogin.com and kahoot. This is beneficial because kids live on their phones now, we are so tech savvy that being able to use our phones for something as simple as plugging in answers seems to up our test scores. Most teachers also have an online classroom. It usually consists of classroom assignments as well as quizzes to take on your own time, although sometimes it is difficult to take in what you're learning because you may be on a time crunch with practice or church, it's all still on the website when you come back so you are able to go back over anything you find beneficial.

I also feel that a lot of teachers that teach electives are easier to approach. They seem to have a better understanding of the younger generation and are much more open to talk and give advice.
