Extracurriculars: There are numerous clubs available at the school, yet it can be difficult for some students because there is fee to join the more popular clubs such as Student Council, HOSA, TSA, and FBLA. Overall, the clubs are decent and give students the opportunity to go on trips, sometimes even overnight.

Overall Experience: One of the best things about this school is the people. You become like a family and gain potential lifelong friends (and enemies) no matter what.

Teachers: Like most schools, you will have teachers who could honestly care less and teachers who give their all and genuinely love teaching. At A. R. Johnson, some teachers can tend to lack in knowledge, some have knowledge, but their teaching style is not effective, and others never update grades so you won't know you're failing until it's too late.

Overall Experience: The school is okay. The only reason why I would choose it again is for the hands-on experience with my Certified Nursing Assistant class. It helped opened my eyes and guide me to want to be a part of the medical field. I know that I wouldn't have gotten the same experience anywhere else.

Teachers: These teachers are over all a collectively a good bunch . They do prepare us for college definitely and that's what some students don't understand. A college professor isn't going to baby you and tell you the answers. He or she is going to present you with the information and whether you learn it or not is up to you. I do have to say the way some teachers present the information is pretty traditional and not attention-grabbing at all. I suggest they add videos, music and color in their presentations. Those type of things help us learn the most because they captivate our attention. Most or all the teachers are easy to communicate with. A few may be a little bit more scary to talk to but that just may be a self fear.
