Academics: In chemistry, Mr.Rozier give us homework only if we not understanding the lesson fully. If we still don't understand, he will stay after school everyday until you do understand. He will try to make us finish all the work in that period block, but if time runs out, we finish for homework

Health & Safety: There are plenty of cameras and police officers. The school food needs alot of improvements because it was a time where hair was in my food. The food isnt thoroughly cooked and the salad is still slightly frozen.

Extracurriculars: This is what students look foward to. This is the opportunity we have to show off our talents and get extra help in certain areas. It is very fun and it brings alot of students self esteem up. Future foundation helps out with college and school. They also take members on field trips. It's jus fun.

Overall Experience: I wouldn't personally go back to Banneker because violence is high and the staff is very unorganized. Nothing happens on time and money is always an issue. The only good part about this school is my friends and my chemistry teacher. He's a big help to alot of students. Not only do he teach at a pace where students will understand, but he also a good person to talk to if anything is bothering you.

Teachers: Some teachers do the minimum just to get their students by. Their teaching strategies are lazy and not engaging. There are also some teachers, who stay after school everyday just to make sure their students understand. Banneker is known for not having enough teachers and that handicaps the students alot. Having a permanent substitute teacher will not help us score high on the test because their knowledge in the subject is poor.
