Extracurriculars: The clubs and sports that I am involved in is Key Club, BHS Cheer, BHS Girls track and field. This is my fourth year in cheerleading, third year in Key Club and this spring will be my third year in track. All of these organizations are great programs to be apart of and it accommodates to everyone's needs or skills. Batavia is really big into "student athletes", you are a student before you are an athlete, so the school really pushes athletes to get good grades. It's a great lesson to balance a sport and school at the same time.

Academics: The academics are very open, there are many optional classes to take, they are always adding new classes from requests. Overall is good.

Student Culture & Diversity: Some situations, diversity is challenged. Sometimes sexual orientation isn't equal or fair for school events such as prom and homecoming.

Extracurriculars: The school I attend provides an extracurricular activity for everyone's interests. It is well diverse in clubs, sports, etc and each club always has a good majority of students joined.

Overall Experience: What makes Batavia High School so unique is our school spirit and community sports events. Everyone goes to football games, and when I say everyone, I mean everyone. Stands are packed every Friday night, it's difficult to find seats for the varsity game. Our school offers a student section called the "Dog Pound", I myself have not been in the dog pound because I have been on the track cheering on the team. Students come to school on Friday's dressed in bulldog pride and you can bet that everyone would be at the game. Community members who don't even have sons/daughters attending Batavia High School anymore, still show up to the games. Batavia High School has a welcoming, supportive community which is something I am going to miss after I graduate.
