It was high school, it's not meant to be a wonderful experience. With that being said, I think Batavia did a good job offering a lot of AP classes and overall quality education that has paid off in college. There were some teachers that I really did not like, but I had a good relationship with most of my teachers. The good teachers made everything worthwhile for me, I kept in contact with them all through high school and they wrote me great letters of recommendation. Interact allowed me to go to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, which was one of my favorite memories of high school. The principal is nice but the assistant principals and deans tend to have a bit of a chip on their shoulders. I wish that Batavia would hire more counselors because there was a 300:1 ratio between counselors and students so it was difficult to feel prepared an guided for college. Overall it was a decent school that I would attend again if, God forbid, I had to go back to high school.
