Benjamin N. Cardozo High School Reviews
Rating 3.66 out of 5 1,026 reviews
Something that I love about going to this school is how socially interconnected the AP students can be. Everyone knows everyone, this is significant because it means that you will always have friends in whatever class you plan to take towards the upcoming years. Another thing I love is the after school activities (clubs & events) that we have here, I feel that there is a niche for all students to be apart of. One criticism is the crowded hallways, with a lot of people having no urgency to get to their classes. I feel that there are too many students at the school who don't care how well they do academically. for the past 3 years I've been here, I've always told people that there is a huge gap between people who care who versus people who don't.
Benjamin N. Cardozo High School fosters a diverse and inclusive learning environment with dedicated faculty and a wide array of academic and extracurricular offerings. They uphold a zero-tolerance policy against offensive language and discrimination, the school promotes respect and acceptance among its student body. Cardozo offers a dynamic school experience with interactive and engaging teachers and students always ready to help one another.
Benjamin N. Cardozo High School is really diverse with more than 3000 students from different backgrounds and cultures. Its location is perfect and convenient as it is located near bus stops for the Q27 and Q30. Less than 5 minutes of walking away is the Horace Harding area where students usually hang out after school; there’s Starbucks, the 99-cent store, and more. What I really like about this school, though, is the variety of clubs, activities, sports and even programs available. The school has over 50 clubs available. There is engineering, biomedical, journalism, law, NJROTC, computer science, dance, and the regular liberal arts program. If students do not want to follow the regular program, they can choose from the others available and get an honors class based on their program, e.g. students who follow the biomedical program take an anatomy honors class. Overall, I would say this school is great and I recommend it to newcomers (those new to NYC public schools) as I am one myself!
