Teachers: I speak mostly for AP classes, but our teachers devote themselves to every student's academic success and personal well-being. Teachers provide relatable real-world examples and application before introducing the details of a topic, follow the syllabus, and make themselves available for tutoring and emotional support. They practice balanced teaching styles from lectures to self-taught research, incorporating technology through their class webpages and interactive online programs. However, some teachers get caught up in testing standards and results instead of the subject itself, leading students to cheat, fall behind, or manipulate the system for better scores.

Teachers: The teaching administration at Brentwood High School is largely considered the best in the state, if not of of the best in the nation. They have a high standard they need to achieve to teach at such a school, and thus, their teaching is high quality, they are well educated, and they have genuine caring and affection towards the student. They handle everything with a professional appeal while still maintaining a friendly and unique personality. Take into account this is despite the hardships and horrors of teaching angsty and rebellious high school students.

One phrase to accurately describe them is that they keep their cool. They have to put up with a lot and have more on the side that the student never sees or appreciates like a hobby, a school club, or a family. However, despite this, they are only human, and some teachers may have flaws here and there that are exacerbated in this high school environment. Thus I could think of a few counterexamples for each of the good traits listed in the statements above, a few "bad apples" that ruin the bunch.

Extracurriculars: There are so many opportunities at Brentwood. The amount of clubs, sports, and organizations are countless. Mnay of the students are involved in atleast one activity, if not several. The clubs are very diverse, ranging from FCA to the gay straight alliance. The sports are very involved in students lives as well, with a huge turnout to most events.

Overall Experience: Parents are the base of their childs future, and they provide a key role in the academic life. Everyday we have parent volunteers in the front office that take phone calls that come in to the school. The parents of students in clubs and sports help to assist in the annual homecoming parade. They not only host the flower parties to build the floats, but they help to assemble and drive the vehicles through the parade. Countless parents are attending their childs sporting events, even if they do not have a child playing parents will show up to show their support.

Teachers: Brentwood has always been known for its academic achievement. The rigorous standards have set a president for all the teachers to follow. The teachers at Brentwood have always pushed the boundaries of excellence. They have set up a designated time for students to be able to come for help every day out of the week, whether it is for making up a quiz or test, or furthering the lesson for the individual so that they better understand the concept. A student is only as good as their teacher, and Brentwood has proven year after year that both rise above and beyond.
