Extracurriculars: There were a plethora of clubs and sports to choose from. There was bound to be a club for everyone and if not, it was easy to start a club. Many people were involved in extracurriculars, as it was an easy way to get to know people in such a large school. There were always leadership opportunities available.

Overall Experience: I enjoyed my Tech experience, however, from the large student population I found it difficult in the beginning to find where I belonged in the school. It was difficult finding friends and getting to know the teachers because of how many people there were. The academics were extremely rigorous, but as a college student now, I can definitely say that the study habits and work ethic I developed at Tech is the reason why I was so successful during my first semester of college.

Teachers: The teachers at Brooklyn Tech were extremely knowledgable in their field and prepared us well for the NYS standardized tests. They all had office hours where they made sure to make themselves available to us if we had questions. In order to keep us engaged, teachers always made sure to include different teaching styles, and incorporated group work into the curriculum so that we could work and learn from our peers.

Extracurriculars: Students always participate in talents shows, lip synch battles, and other performances. Other students would come to the shows to support those in it and try to be a motivated and dedicated audience. Brooklyn Tech has numerous volunteering clubs like Key Club, Interact Club, Act Club, HO.P.E. Club and more. All these clubs always have motivated students who would come out every weekend and participate in volunteering events no matter what weather. Who said age restricts the friends you make? All these clubs help students assimilate with other age groups and try to give advice or receive advice from all types of people. Our school just started Big Sibs and Little Sibs, which helps those who are less knowledgeable about high school, Brooklyn Tech, or just need advice from others who are more knowledgeable. I think clubs and extracurricular activities really make my high school life most memorable. It also helped me to become more selectable and meet all sorts of people who I don't regret meeting.

Overall Experience: I love entering the school and seeing new people I've never seen before at the school. Brooklyn Tech consists of more than five thousand students. Every year, in each of my classes I would meet students of my age that I've never encountered the year before. With the diversity and large population, students will always find students of similar interest, interesting clubs, sports, and more. However, one negative aspect of Brooklyn Tech is the lack of air conditioners. Most of the classrooms don't have air conditioners. Only classes with computers and a couple of classrooms would have it. Not only is the school humid during the summer, the elevators are always packed. Students are considered lucky if they didn't have to walk up 6, 7, or even 8 floors.
