Teachers at my school try their best to engage students into the lessons but many students lack participation and apprehension for the subject. This causing teachers to lack effort in their teachings. Those teachers that do try are usually the AP teachers who get students who want to learn in their class. Some teachers make the time to meet a student after school to review the lesson if they did not understand, but others only give the time they can in class. Many teacher have lots of knowledge of the subject they are teaching but don't always get to express it all since they are always being interrupted. The grading can be done unfair by half the teachers at the school, but the other half grade on effort.

Over the last couple of years my experience has been getting worse. The only reason why I'm still at this school is to finish my education and because my friends are there. The administration has restricted so many activities from us. Pep rallies or football games are never fun because we aren't allowed to be loud or cheer. They have taken away off-campus lunch which was a senior privilege for many years until they decided to take it off. They close all the doors to every wing before the day even ends and you aren't able to get to a classroom or your locker if you need to. They close all the restrooms but one in a building which half the time is all the way across the campus and it gets very packed because everyone is trying to go before their next class; however we still get tardy sweeps and Saturday school for being late to class when we were all trying to pack into one restroom when there are 4 other restrooms on campus, but they leave them closed. My experience has been worse each year here.

In all my 4 years of high school I would say I was blessed with great teachers. Each and every one of them were knowledgable, funny, and caring. They always wanted to see their students learn and understand the lessons that were taught. When asked for help, they would be happy to break it down for the students. I would be in my fourth year of high school still communicating with my teachers from freshman year. They would always want to know that their students were feeling good. I will never forget my teachers and my experience in their classes.
