Centauri High School Reviews
Rating 3.96 out of 5 83 reviews
As long as I have been at Centauri, I've enjoyed the entire experience. Overall, the school has a diverse range of elective classes for students to choose from. Not only that, but students have a wide variety of core classes to choose from and accelerate in. Centauri is well known for having amazing test scores and producing very educated students in whatever field they wish to pursue after high school. Even for the students who prefer a more hands-on career, such as myself, Centauri has some of the best vocational classes in the San Luis Valley. Along with the great academic attributes that Centauri has, there is an amazing culture at the school. Students and administration all have deep school spirit and spirit when it comes to Centauri. The student involvement is the best I have seen throughout the different schools in the area, and it shows at all school events, not just the sport-related ones. All around, I believe I made the best choice in choosing Centauri as my school.
Centauri High School is safe school that provides an average learning environment. On a day to day basis, the people are friendly and students always feel safe. However, there lacks a sense of dedication and engagement between the teachers, staff, parents, and even some students. Very few students participate in any art, music or drama programs, causing our school to lack character and a sense of pride.
The involvement and their eagerness to help each kid that wants to learn is really motivating and really helps all of us want to be better. The worst part of my experience here is when a girl passed out from taking something and the school went completely on guard and the school suddenly felt like an unsafe environment. I hope that that feeling changes but being in the valley, I don’t think there’s much to do to change.
