I have gained a close group of friends from attending this school. We are all in AP classes and honestly, I believe that being involved in AP classes has been a great decision; I am learning so much more while being with my friends. What makes this school unique is that while we may be a small and "poor" school, we have a ton of spirit and we keep it lively. School spirit days and events are fun and exciting days for the kids at CHS. I would choose this school again because my high school experience has been great and has been more than I could ever imagine. The people here are nice and the atmosphere is awesome!

There are so many different types of people at the school coming from different backgrounds and we've gotten foreign exchange students too! No one really cares who is what race or what sexual orientation, everyone is accepting and see each other more person to person rather than focusing on the differences(try to see what they have in common).

Most of the teachers at center high school are understanding to our society in this day and age and truly care about the knowledge that the students obtain in their classes. However I believe this is because I am an AP student. Generally AP courses are harder therefore the teachers are more strict and structured in their teaching styles, knowledge, and communication to students. Because I decided not to take an AP course in english this year, I was bewildered by the leniency the regular classes get. The students are so easy to manipulate the teacher and when they receive an assignment, they whine in disbelief because they don't generally get homework. And classwork assignments are usually done as a class or copied off of the rare "intelligent" people in the class. I was beleve that for the courses for students in the lower classes, education should be enforces. The teachers need to be more strict and assign more projects, classwork, and homework because compared to AP classes, the quality of knowledge being taught is horendous. It is not fair that teacher treats the students as if they're incapable of challenge. And because they are in the lower classes, teachers should encourage more work to help the student reach a certain goal in understanding the topic.
