The teachers at my school are the best! Each teacher of course have their very own teaching style, yet it always seems to work out for the best. The main reason why I favor the teachers at my school so much, is that they are open to new ideas and concepts from the students' perspective. They are very knowledgeable about their subject area, but truly listen to what the students have to offer as well. Teachers at Connecticut I.B. Academy are great educators. This is evident when they can easily relate their learning topics to real world experiences, which in the long run helps us students to better understand the material being taught. The teachers are very consistent with their grading and really take the time and effort to go over and correct any mistakes you may have if asked.

One of the best parts of CIBA is the rigorous program. It is not only very challenging, but it helps students grow and develop their weaknesses and enhance their strengths even further. The teachers are all extremely passionate about what they are teaching, and will go above and beyond to create interesting lessons and engage all students in the material so that everything is completely comprehensive. Another great experience I've had is with the Micheal Abelon Memorial Foundation, a committee created to commemorate the founding principal of CIBA, who passed away- and raise money for finding a cure to pancreatic cancer.

Overall, the curriculum that CIBA offers, although extremely rigorous and challenging, really helps students grow and develop into well rounded, thoughtful and accepting people. The teachers are very helpful and understanding, and as long as you remain respectful of them will do everything in their power to help you. The extracurriculars show the passion and school spirit that CIBA has, and the encouragement from staff and fellow peers to work through and continue with the program is uncanny to that of any other school. The small grades offer very close peer relationships, and I have made two of my closest friends at CIBA. I honestly would always take the decision to go back to CIBA if asked to relive my high-school experience.
