Extracurriculars: The extracurricular activities offered at my school are great. There are a variety of different clubs you can choose from in order to find one that truly suits you. The bigger clubs like SAB and Interact are the most popular in the school, simply due to all of the events they plan. The administration is extremely supportive of after school activities. They are always willing to help out in anyway they can. I also enjoy the fact, that it is rather simple to make a club in my school if you wish. In fact, the motivation to do so primarily stems from the teachers, who would be rather happy to be an adviser for your club.

Teachers: The teachers at my school are the best! Each teacher of course have their very own teaching style, yet it always seems to work out for the best. The main reason why I favor the teachers at my school so much, is that they are open to new ideas and concepts from the students' perspective. They are very knowledgeable about their subject area, but truly listen to what the students have to offer as well. Teachers at Connecticut I.B. Academy are great educators. This is evident when they can easily relate their learning topics to real world experiences, which in the long run helps us students to better understand the material being taught. The teachers are very consistent with their grading and really take the time and effort to go over and correct any mistakes you may have if asked.

Overall Experience: My school ( Connecticut IB Academy) is an amazing school. This could be due to its small class sizes and great teachers, but also because of the students. My school is very diverse and is comprised of wonderful staff and students who are willing to help you in anyway possible in order for you to succeed. Overall, my school has a great support system. Connecticut I.B. Academy has a lot to offer students. There are a variety of different clubs and organizations that you can enjoy with your peers. Having this benefit in such a small school is great. With that being said, attending a small school for me has been wonderful, and I would choose to go to my small school each and every time if I could do it all over again. The communication with the teachers is wonderful and there is just a better learning basis for us as students. My favorite event which takes place at my school is the annual Michael Abelon Walk which is celebrated in order to commemorate the founder of our school due to him passing of pancreatic cancer.

Extracurriculars: There are no sports at CIBA; all sports are done through East Hartford High School, which is next door. There are minimum clubs at CIBA, but many community service opportunities. There is no musical program at CIBA and there is no theater. There is one sports club: golf.
