Because of the school being an alternative school, the rules are very strict which in somewhat way become very helpful. Teachers can often relate to real world problems and events as well as to the kids. The school also provides a fifth period for those who are trying to catch up on credits or get ahead.

I love the fact that the administration try vaguely hard to keep students on track towards graduation.

Granite peaks didnt have any athletic teams or pep rallys. The gym was highly unsupervised and there was hardly any equiptment to use for fitness interaction. If a sport was played at granite peaks it was basket ball in which everyone was involved. Fitness programs were highly affected by art development because creativity was highly encouraged.
