Corona High, in my opinion, is a really great school. My experiences have only been good ones. All the teachers I've had truly care about their students and want them to succeed. Then again, I am part of the higher-achieving Honors and AP crowd, and my perspective may be different from a student who does not take these classes. Our latest principal, Dr. Kim, is a principal who is very involved with us students and the school. He does all the "cool" things kids do nowadays, like the ALS Challenge and dancing to Gangnam Style. He really pushes for higher education by promoting college to the student body. I think it's really important for schools to teach their students about life after high school, and CHS does just that. This school is unique because even though it may seem like a ghetto, mediocre school from the outside, it's actually filled with caring teachers and staff who push their kids to the best of their abilities. I also like how there aren't any fights or bad graffiti around campus. Our ASB also does wonders when it comes to decorating. They have the best school spirit and strive to make every event the best. If I could do it all over again and I could choose any school out of the Corona-Norco Unified School District, I would choose CHS in a heartbeat. The overall vibe of the students is truly exceptional and I wouldn't want to spend my four years anywhere else.
