Extracurriculars: I have participated in athletics all four years and I will be playing in college. I feel that the combination of my coaching staff and my weightlifting coach at my school were instrumental in helping me earn my way to playing a collegiate sport. Our facilities are great and the emphasis on sports is important. Schoolwork is also important to these coaches. My baseball coach is my mentor and role model and I have aspired to please him during my four years. I am reaping the benefits of that approach by having him by my advocate for colleges.

Overall Experience: I would choose this school again and would also choose it for my children. Being a large school, there are many opportunities for participation in clubs, teams, and events. The down side of attending such a large school is that it is ultra competitive in sports and that not all kids make the teams. They may get cut at an early age and give up a sport. Also, there are so many kids in the school, it is hard to get to know them and there are only four counselors for thousands of kids.

Teachers: I am in all AP courses so the teachers are of a high caliber. They are able to relate to high performing students and are able to challenge even the most intelligent students. I feel that the quality of my teachers in my AP courses was excellent but I don't necessarily feel that way about the few classes that I took that were not AP. Those teachers were adequate only and in some instances, I feel that I could have taught the class better than they did.
