High school grows you into the person you are. I have great memories, good and bad, some learning experiences and some that I’ll take with me the rest of my life. My high school experience has influenced my development as a person inside and outside of the class by making me more independent, choosing friends wisely and teachers motivating me to attend college and accomplish goals I have set for myself.
I first moved to Fitchburg public schools my freshman year in February. Before I moved here, I had moved around multiple times within three different states. Fitchburg High school is by far the best school I have attended. At my other schools I felt as though I couldn't make friends or involve myself in any extra curricular activities. Since moving here, I have more friends than I can count on my fingers! I have also been on the volleyball team for four years straight. This school also provides programs to help with funds for low income families, seniors going into college, and even programs such as Black Student Union. I feel like the only negative part about this school is the lack of trust in students.
Although FPS has had its upsides and downsides, FPS has always provided a safe and fun environment for its younger students as well as fun school events for High School and Middle school kids. However, what id like to see change is the transparency to situations and events in the event of a serious situation that does involves the lifes of our students.
