Gwinnett County Public Schools, located in the metro Atlanta area, is the largest school system in Georgia, the 11th largest district in the United States, and continues to grow.

As a school system of choice, the finest teachers, involved parents, and a supportive community are key elements in the district’s quest to become a system of world-class schools.

In 2022-23, the school district served more than 182,800 students. Approximately one of every five Gwinnett County residents is a GCPS student.

Our mission is to pursue excellence in academic knowledge, skills, and behavior for each student, resulting in measured improvement against local, national, and world-class standards. Our vision is to become a system of world-class schools where students acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful in college and careers.
