Hello Niche Users, my overall experience with Miami-Dade County Public Schools has been just phenomenal. The academics were really broken down to each students needs. I went to American Senior High School for three and half years and I enjoyed my experience there. The teachers were spectacular and really prepared us for real life situations. The schools culture really brought everyone together. We learned to reach beyond our highest potential. I truly love it here! I wish to see more parent involvement. I always hoped for more parents to come out to the events and show lots of support.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is a great system for our kids. I was in this system for about 5 years, and right after followed my younger sister who attended this system throughout all of her schooling. I definitely saw some differences from when I was in school to when she was. It seemed that the school system was really talking into consideration the diversity that was arising. There was emphasis on organizations and clubs welcoming students who felt a connection in order to be more comfortable in the environment. The administration actually would come out to many of the events to support and that was so awesome!

My overall experience with Miami-Dade County Public Schools has been rather good. Because of my enrollment in a public charter school, I have benefited from the advantages of a small school and been given opportunities to get out of my comfort zone, get hands-on experience, develop my critical thinking and foreign language skills, and obtain leadership roles within the school and community. I received very good instructions from plenty of competent teachers, who were often bilingual and willing to help before or after school when needed (free tutoring). I also met number of students from different backgrounds (social and economical), different cultures, different countries, and sympathized with groups of foreign and new students, including those whose first language was not English.
