Students are very motivated in this school district. They are willing to work hard and put grades first. There is a competitive atmosphere but not open and direct. Students tend to support each other and are often willing to help.

Teachers are great too. Many of them are very open to helping their students and I have been able to make close connections with some of them. They genuinely want to see their students succeed.

However, the schools lack in school spirit. There is not good attendance in school competitions, events, or sports games.

What I enjoyed most about Palos Verdes Peninsula High School is the atmosphere I'm placed in. I am surrounded by many intelligent students as well as well mannered and outgoing soon-to-be adults.

Every teacher positively motivates their students to do their best in everything that they do. The teachers and staff encourage every student to apply to a college or university.
