The overall experience of attending White Hall High School has been a pleasure. Although, there are some aspects that I wish would have been different, but all of our opinions are different. So therefore, they may not apply to you. For example, in my senior year, they reinforced a new phone policy, meaning that phones weren’t allowed while school was in session. As a student taking multiple advance classes, I will put my class work above my personal device. But I simply believe that the decision should be made by the teacher on whether a phone should be allowed to be used within a classroom. Obviously, for students taking harder classes, phones wouldn’t be a major problem, and some teachers actually feel perfectly fine with having them. I haven’t been affected much by this, since most of my classes were AP level. But being able to have my phone out at lunch would have been really nice.
Going to white hall have its ups and downs but for the most part they teaching and helping students if one of the best I seen. They actually care about the students and try to get the best for the students, that's what I love about white hall. The hard part is that the school is strict and sometimes be a little to hard on students. Ill change the school building I would rebuild the school for it to look better and for more kids to want to come.
School spirit is definitely an area that could change for the better. As co-captain of the HS Dance team, we do the best we can to entice and elicit school spirit but it is difficult to say the least. We have tried to create new an exciting ways for students to participate in different activities such as a variety of fan band nights, different spirit weeks, canned food drives, etc. We are hoping to continue to bolster school pride/spirit in our student body.
