Dakota Ridge isn't hyped up about things, but it really comes together when it counts. Most teachers are awesome, the layout of the school is nice, and the classes (if you take honors, AP/IB) are fairly challenging

I would certainly choose Dakota Ridge again if I could do it all over. Throughout my four years there, I had all the loving support and confidence from every teacher and counselor. In History I was pushed to work harder for knowledge. He only lectured and never used an outline or powerpoint which demonstrated his love for teaching. My History teacher was also my coach and pushed me to be a better athlete. This gave me the confidence I needed to succeed in the real world. My Spanish teacher supported me in my shyness and helped me to reach out and speak with native Spanish speakers. She loved the language but did not care about our grade in the class, rather how much we grew. She was caring and understanding when I had personal problems come up. This is the love and support that makes this school unique and was present with all of my teachers during my high school career.

The parents at this school were amazing. At information nights there were many parents in attendance, making sure they were very educated at events. Booster clubs for sports and activities were also very involved, as parent led fundraisers were very common to see at Dakota Ridge. Staff and parents worked very well together. Parents cared enough about the well being of their children to not completely control the academic success of the student. They positively influenced the atmosphere of Dakota Ridge Senior High School.
