Health & Safety: There are a lot of people who do smoke at school and I feel like this is something that I don't like. Whenever there have been fights I do feel somewhat safe because the administration cuts them off quickly. The nurse has been helpful the few times that I have gone.

Overall Experience: When I first went to Jordan I was scares and I didn't feel safe because of what I heard about the school. Once I was there though I realized that what people said wasn't true. Yes there are fights here and there but every other school does too. I wouldn't change not going to this school because if I did I wouldn't have gotten the high school experience that I have. One of my favorites is being in the AIMS program. We have been able to volunteer at the Veterans Hospital of Long Beach. We have been able to present our group health projects at various locations of the community. We have also been able to fundraise for different organizations like the American Lung Association and the Miller Children's hospital of Long Beach. I believe that this is something I wouldn't have been able to do at another high school. We don't only focus on academics, we also focus on helping the community and this is something that I love about my school. Another great experience that I have had at this school is being a part of a program. Although it does make differences in the school I wouldn't want it any other way because we create a family inside of these programs. What makes me not want to choose any other school is that we all strive for the best and we support each other where in other schools everyone only cares about themselves.

Food: The cafertieria does have a variety if food options. There isn't always super healthy choices especially for those who are vegan or vegetarian. I can say that there are enough options to eat something different everyday. The environment of the cafeteria is clean and the lunch ladies and student workers are friendly.

Administration & Policies: My principal is always there when I need the help. Some councilors though aren't always there to help students. I do know a couple students who say their councilor is very helpful. In the past I haven't been able to go to my councilor for help. The office staff is very helpful. Whenever I needed help with sending a fax or finding out something thatbu needed they were able to help me. Bullying at my school is not tolerated and if it's found punishment does come in hand. Dress code at my school does make some students upset but I believe that its needed especially because there is no uniform policy at my school. If someone does not follow the dress code administration will give them a notice. Attendance at my school is taken very seriously and they will call home if a student didn't go to school or a certain class.

Teachers: The overall quality of teachers is great depending on which program at school you are in. All of the core teachers that u have had are great teachers. They know what they are teaching and they give assignments that are related to the topic. I think that every school has great teachers and not so great teachers. I have had teachers that don't grade on a daily basis, they post up grades a week before the semester is over and I know that as students we don't really like that. I have noticed the different styles that teachers have. For example some teachers give notes and homework on a daily basis, others give notes every other day and don't give much homework. I have also had a teacher that would give us packets almost every day. Teachers at my school can be very understanding and I have a good teacher student relationship.
