Extracurriculars: Extracurriculars are amazing at Del Campo and are a core component of the Del Campo experience. Some of the best extracurricular activities at Del Campo include our award winning yearbook The Decamhian and our newspaper the DC Roar, Kids Helping Kids Sacramento, student government, chess club, academic decathlon, AVID, and mock trial. All of these clubs and organizations receive huge administrative support and are greatly supported by the student body as well. With several of our programs being unique to Del Campo such as Kids Helping Kids Sacramento or award winning like Decamhian of the DC Roar, the extracurricular activities are in my opinion the best in the area.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Del Campo has been incredible! The teachers, the athletics, the extracurricular activities and the school spirit are all amazing and have made my four years at Del Campo truly incredible! Some of my favorite experiences include playing for the varsity football team and being an all league player, being the winning class in our school's Sports-o-rama and Homecoming events two years running, and being a part of Kids Helping Kids Sacramento. A few things which make Del Campo unique include our own branch of the largest student run non-profit organization in the nation, Kids Helping Kids Sacramento, as well as our incredible school spirit in support of our successful athletic programs and our twitter famous bleacher posters for our annual Sports-o-rama competition and our unique hall decorating competition for homecoming. If I could do it all over I would definitely choose Del Campo because the people, the school, and the community of Del Campo are amazing! Nothing will replace my experiences being a part of a football program with strong tradition, running a non-profit organization to help children in need, and joining the Del Campo spirit.

Teachers: Most of the teachers at Del Campo are genuine and care about the students more than simply pushing kids along the system. Almost all of the teachers I've had at Del Campo are memorable and are also very involved in multiple aspects of the campus outside of their classrooms. These teachers also have a wide variety of teaching style so that students have varied options of teachers with different teaching styles that may suit the specific students needs when learning a certain subject. The math and social science departments at Del Campo are particularly knowledgeable and show great interest in their students' success outside of the classroom as well as inside the class. In general,v Del Campo teachers are also very effective at communicating with students and do their best to work with students to be successful and are very consistent with their grading standards from department to department.
