Health & Safety: The nurse is great at our school. Our security is pretty sketchy though because some sell and deal to the kids but haven't been caught in the act yet. There are students dating teacher. We have gates around our school but that doesn't stop people from leaving or getting in. Our schools pretty safe if you're a person that doesn't do drugs or drink. If you're a good student then you'll be safe most of the time.

Food: Our school has a lot of bad food at our school and its pretty pricey. The food for free lunch kids are usually a little scary because sometimes its not cooked all the way and sometimes it makes students sick. But its free lunch so we don't complain.

Administration & Policies: Our front office is getting better but in the 3 years that I've attended the school has had many problems with other people coming onto campus without security knowing as well as students leaving campus without parent permission. Bullying is handled pretty lightly at our school just because it happens all the time so the counselors usually only deal with the worst case scenarios. Dress code is most strict at the beginning of the year (summer heat=less clothing). But most of the girls who get dress coded are curvy or bigger girls trying to wear what the thinner girls do. Attendance is an issue just because students are always coming late, and if they miss the 20 minute bell they are considered absent so no one shows up after that.

Sports & Fitness: We have a lot of opportunities to get involved in sports but there isn't much student support. The most support we see is at Varsity football, basketball, and women's volleyball. Other than that, the other activities at DV don't get many fans to come out. The fitness programs are pretty good, there's a wide variety from dance to yoga and to advanced weight lifting to prepare for sport seasons coming up and to condition in the off seasons. Facilities are usually kept in good shape and cleaned.

Teachers: Only a few teachers take the time to put together a well thought out lesson plan that has an affect on their students. I got really lucky this year and had 4/6 of my teacher take that extra care in making sure the students actually knew the information that was being taught.
