Dodgeville High School Reviews
Rating 3.68 out of 5 71 reviews
Dodgeville has provided me with many opportunities. I have been able to begin college early, while still fulfilling my high school credits, as well as having various options for AP credits. There is also a wide range of clubs, organizations, and sports that students can be involved in. I have gotten the chance to be part of FCCLA, art club (where I am the president), National Honors Society, International Students club, Presidents and Captains, and I am a member of the girls' soccer team. Even though Dodgeville is such a small town and school, students are still given an impressive range of opportunities. However, despite the numerous opportunities students are given, the lack of communication and proper guidance often leads to students missing out. The way most students learn about opportunities, such as the early college program, is through past students. Last minute decisions and communication also lead to scheduling problems that effect clubs and other organizations.
Dodgeville High School offers many opportunities for students to be involved with clubs, sports and the arts. There are more than 15 student lead clubs/organizations along with more than 10 sports teams, and a yearly musical and play. The teachers at Dodgeville always are willing to help a student in need and teach everything needed to succeed in college and life. Dodgeville has more than 10 Advanced Placement level courses to allow students to get ahead in school along classes students can take through the local technical college.
The teachers here are a hit or miss. They're either really good at their jobs and know how to teach where as some do not. There is also a lot of drama between students.
