Extracurriculars: I think that there is a lot of variety for extracurricular activities because although the students may not be diverse in some aspects everyone has different like and dislikes. I think the most popular and most supported among the students is football, I'm not sure why but its the most popular. I was in the marching band my first two years of high-school and I felt like there was a lack of respect for us especially against the football program. I think this had to do with the administration because some didn't think that we needed space to practice or that we didn't have classes dedicated to the activity and I think that is what made me want to quit. I didn't want to be hated by teachers that were most popular by the student population because that would result in more dislike and disrespect for the marching band.

Overall Experience: If I had the ability to redo high school I would want to attend Douglas County High School again because of the IB program because there is truly a family sense present within the whole group of every graduating IB class. I think there are a lot of opportunities for success here and unique opportunities in general . For example, during spring break 2015 I signed up to go on a educational tour of New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji by myself (without parents) for a discounted price which otherwise wouldn't have happened because of the normal expenses. And I honestly think that if I attended school anywhere else in the county, I wouldn't have gone on that trip. And that trip sparked my desire for travel and I hope to continue with studying abroad during my undergraduate years and possibly for my job after my schooling is over.

Teachers: All of the IB teachers at Douglas County High School are so involved and genuinely interested in their students and what they have to say which shows how caring they are. Aslo because we are taught with a more worldly outline, the teachers' acceptance in the students' ideals are an example of how to interact with people later on in our education.

Extracurriculars: At Douglas County we have a wide range of of available things from sports to Agriculture (FFA) all the way to anime and jewelry club. The diversity of all these makes sure that there is something for every student that goes here. All the clubs are promoted through out the school.
