I have been fortunate enough to have teachers that are willing to help and be supportive, not only in class, but outside of class. Ones who are willing to take time out of their own to help you with a homework question, help with the application process or even with a personal problem. Not everyone is lucky enough to get these few and far between teachers, but the ones who do see the difference between them and the others.
One teacher in particular, Mr. Robert Calbeck, has been an inspiration for myself and my peers. He has willingly taken time out of his nights at home to proof read my applications, write me a letter of recommendation and offer extended help whether it be a math question, although I am no longer in his class, or personal help. It has been extremely helpful having someone who has went through college be there through the application process since I am going to be the first one in my family to go to college. Not only does it make it less stressful, but makes things that I would not know how to do on my own, easier.
