Overall, I would say my high school did a poor job in preparing me for college and the "real world". My school did not guide nor assist me, as well as most other students, with my future after high school. By the time an administrator spoke to myself and my classmates about applying for college, most college application deadlines were nearing and the programs used to help high school students choose colleges they would be interested in was not helpful to me whatsoever. Myself and my parents had to find help outside of my school in order to gain knowledge of the application process. Despite being well underprepared, I am looking forward to attending the University of Colorado at Boulder this coming fall and am enjoying my time off of school.
