Academics: East offers many advanced courses. And part of the reason is that the teachers are also very advanced in their education, almost all of them with masters and the rest with doctorates. The workload can be tough at times, but that's to be expected with the intense classes that you take at East. Some popular classes are ;AP Physics C, AP World History, AP Calculus BC and lots more AP classes.

Student Culture & Diversity: East is a very accepting school. Students are always the ones taking the initiative to enforce a peaceful environment. There are instances where students feel pressured to take AP classes, but the teachers and the counselors step in and help the students to realize that such courses aren't a must. But otherwise East is very accepting and a very good school.

Extracurriculars: East has over 100 clubs. almost every very single one of these clubs was started by students wanting to make a difference in their world or their community. The library is opened every day after school to allow students to come study and tutoring is offered for all classes free. The school provides funding for clubs and students at my school are very committed. Since there are many clubs students can choose from a variety of options from video games, to student council and sending aid to countries in Africa.

Overall Experience: I would chooses East all over again. From the teachers, to the students and the environment created by my school. Its no wonder I fell in love in with this school. The teachers at our school are kind, rigorous, but most of all supportive. Going on trips with the teachers and seeing how they acted outside of the classroom was truly great experience,(especially when my world history teacher got roasted when we corrected her). East is unique because it blends rigorous studies and the supportive and fun environment every kid needs to succeed. And I would definitely go to this school all over again.

Teachers: The teachers at my school are simply amazing, they are always there when you need them and are extremely supportive and work at the students pace. The teachers vary in their styles of teaching but all have one thing in common. They love to teach, whether they teach lecture style, or note taking, they all find some or another to make the task fun and engaging for all the students. The teachers at East Chapel Hill High are highly qualified, with many of them having taught at colleges or attended Ivy league school, they grade rigorously, but they do this to make us work harder and to teach us the principles of Integrity, hard-work and effort. In the end, they decided to do the Job they do for the sole purpose of teaching and helping students advance.
