Elk Grove High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 473 reviews
My experience so far at Elk Grove has been amazing. We celebrate African American history month, women history month, Asian heritage month and many more. One of the events we celebrate is cultural festival, there are foods and tables to learn about the students heritage and culture. There are also dances related to the students culture and there is also a fashion show where students put on clothes related to their heritage. My friends and I always go to this event, and we always to try to be involved in the event.
Elk Grove High School has brought a significant number of opportunities and chances to become not only a better student but a compassionate person. The best part of my high school experience isn't just one specific moment; I find moments in each day I attend school that brings me joy. For example, Elk Grove High School allowed me to join volleyball, through my 3 years of attending I earned my way to be on the varsity team of volleyball which allowed me to build insanely strong relationships with not only some of my classmates but special people I would never have met if it weren't for that team. Another being the football games, standing in the stands with my fellow peers, it's as if our school is one united and that feeling will never go away. Although Elk Grove has brought so many amazing times, other times I feel as if I am constantly overworked, and not getting as much recognition for that. We rarely have assembly's which I believe allow for our school as a whole come together.
My overall experience at Elk Grove High School has been overall a positive experience. Elk grove offers a variety of different sports, clubs, and activities to all students. Being able to participate in it's many activities has allowed me to meet lots of amazing people from all different backgrounds, and feel connected with other students in EGHS. EGHS also provides its student with many different elective options and a variety of world languages. One of which, allowed me to study Japanese and go to japan for 2 weeks during my junior year. The teacher at EGHS always try to push students to be the best they can be. I don't think I'd be the person and student I was today if I didn't have them to push me. My biggest criticism about EGHS is the food. The food at EGHs isn't terrible but the food isn't always the most healthy and the prices are a bit high compared to the quality of food you can get at times. One thing I would like to see changed is honor courses being brought back.
