Overall Experience: Going to LaGuardia was an overall great, life-changing experience. It has really helped me become the mature, serious student I am today. It has taught me to create a balance between academics and music and has also given me the opportunity to develop my techniques, perform concerts professionally, meet peers who share my passion, and meet both academic and music teachers that have made my high school career as enjoyable as it was.

Food: I personally do not eat lunch in the cafeteria. From what I have seen, the food is not high quality or good.

Administration & Policies: There is not a strong emphasis on the dress code at LaGuardia, probably because it is an arts schools and students are free to express themselves based on how they dress. The principal seems to be involved with many school decisions but does not really have direct involvement with students. There are some good guidance counselors, but they will definitely help you and answer questions about the college process when you need them to.

Sports & Fitness: Since LaGuardia is a school majorly (if not completely) dedicated to the arts, there is not much school spirit when it comes to sports. There are a good number of sports teams, and a good number of students do participate, but not many students come out to watch sports games and we do not have fields or a football team.

Teachers: The teachers in LaGuardia are very knowledgable. They each have their own unique teaching style and do a great job relating their lessons to real-life situations. Their communication skills are great and they do a great job controlling and engaging their classes.
